Emergency shelter for homeless and runaway teenagers ages 13 to 17 through Safe Place. Children/youth ages birth to age 22 are referred to Youth Villages because of emotional and behavioral disorders, physical or sexual abuse, or suicidal thoughts or attempts. Also offer transitional living program for older teens that have been in foster care.

The Center for Children and Parents provides prevention and early intervention services to children and families. Healthy Families is a home visitation service for first time teen mothers that promotes healthy child development and positive parent child interaction to help prevent child abuse and neglect. The Parent Outreach Program provides home visitation services to new mothers for up to 12 months, offering support, encouragement, and education on parenting skills. Nurse –Family Partnership sends nurses to visit low income women in their homes during their first pregnancy and throughout the first two years of the child’s life. The Fatherhood Initiative focuses on developing a community plan to support fathers of young children.
